Short version: no cookies from us, no ad trackers, and no personal data sold.
Visit statistics
We count visits with a small first-party script. It doesn't set cookies and doesn't use local storage; a temporary session identifier is kept in your browser tab only until you close it. Statistics are sent through our own server to Amplitude (EU data center). To work out your approximate location (country, region, city), your IP address is processed at that moment; we don't store it in our own systems. We record things like the page, referrer, browser type, screen size, time on page, scroll depth and clicks on outbound links, so we know which parts of the guide help readers.
Affiliate links
When you click a “Check price” link, you go to a retailer such as Amazon. That retailer may set its own cookies to credit the sale to us; its privacy policy applies there.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Your rights
Because we hold no account or contact data about visitors, there is nothing about you for us to look up, correct or delete.
