Costway Ice Maker Parts and How to Get Them

Costway rarely sells ice maker parts on their own, but it ships them free under warranty. Here is how to identify your model, which parts tend to fail and what to ask for.

By Scott Carswell · Updated · Facts checked 4 October 2026

Costway does not normally sell ice maker parts one by one. If your machine is still under its one-year warranty, Costway says it will send replacement parts free of charge when it has them in stock, so your first step is to email service@costway.com with your order number and model.

This page covers how to find that model number, which parts tend to need replacing, what Costway's own manuals say about each one, and what to do once the warranty has run out.

How Costway handles parts and warranty

Costway's contact and FAQ page answers the parts question directly: "Normally we don't sell parts individually. If your order is under warranty, we will send replacement parts to you without any charge providing if we have the parts available." For parts outside the warranty, the same page suggests local hardware stores.

Costway's guarantee page sets the warranty at one year from the date of purchase, for products used in a home. It excludes failures from abuse, accidental damage, misuse and commercial use. It also excludes failures "when repairs have been made or attempted by anyone other than Costway." Keep your receipt or order confirmation email, because Costway may ask for it.

Costway lists support hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific, Monday to Friday. Its guarantee page says it answers inquiries within 48 hours. Older manuals, such as the EP24525US manual, list cs.us@costway.com as the US contact, and each manual's cover asks you to contact customer service before returning the item.

Find your model number first

Costway sells many lookalike ice makers, and parts differ between them. You need the exact model before you ask for anything.

  • The manual cover. Costway prints the model on the front, for example EP24525US, FP10032US or EP21967.
  • Your order. Costway product pages list a SKU. For example, the 34 lb nugget model is ES10294US-BK and the self-dispensing nugget model is ES10286US.
  • The rating label on the unit. It shows the model, voltage and refrigerant. Take a clear photo of it for your support email.

If you lost the manual, search the model on ManualsLib's Costway ice maker list.

Parts that most often need replacing

Common Costway countertop ice maker parts, symptoms and next steps, based on Costway manuals
PartWhat the manual links to itWhat to do
Water pumpOn the FP10032US nugget model, a flashing "No water" light can mean a pump malfunction. The EP24525US manual says poor water quality can make the pump noisy.Rule out an empty tank and a blocked water screen first. FP10032US: "Send it to the authorized department for repair."
Drain plug or capWater leaking from the base. The FP10032US has a drain plug and drain tube at the back. The EP24525US has a drain cap with a silicone plug on the back.Check that the plug is seated. Ask Costway for a replacement if it is cracked or lost.
Ice basket and scoopBoth ship in the box. Costway manuals say to contact customer service if they are missing. The cover of Costway's manuals says replacements for missing or damaged parts "will be shipped ASAP".
Water screen, filter and water separator pipeFP10032US: a blocked water screen at the bottom of the reservoir stops refilling. EP24525US: blocked holes in the water separator pipe stop water reaching the evaporator.Clean these yourself. The EP24525US manual says to clear each hole with a thin wire.
Temperature sensorsEP24525US: code E1 means the ambient temperature sensor failed. E2 means the refrigerating tube sensor failed. The manual says the unit keeps working and the sensor should be replaced.
Ice-full sensorFP10032US: the Ice full light stays on with an empty basket when the infrared sensor fails."The sensor is damaged, please send it to the authorized department for repair."
Inlet solenoid valveEP24525US: the reservoir has water but the Add Water symbol stays on."Need the technical service person to maintain."
FanThe EP24525US wiring diagram shows a DC fan motor. The FP10032US manual links poor heat dissipation to broken ice.Keep the vents clear first. A failed fan is a warranty or technician job.

Ice shovel and pusher

Bullet-ice machines that use a rotating ice shovel can jam when ice chips get stuck. The Hisense manual, for example, warns that this can happen after a power cut mid-cycle. Clear the ice by hand with the unit unplugged before you assume the shovel or its motor has failed. The Costway manuals we checked do not list a shovel part number, so ask Costway support for the right part for your model.

Should you fit parts yourself?

Costway's manuals discourage it. The FP10032US manual says: "Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, modify, or replace any part of your product." The EP24525US manual says service should be done by factory-authorized personnel, because these units use R600a, a flammable refrigerant. Costway's warranty also excludes repairs attempted by anyone other than Costway.

Simple parts are a different matter. An ice basket, scoop or drain plug can be swapped without tools or opening the case. Cleaning the water screen and separator pipe is normal owner maintenance.

How to request a part from Costway

  1. Find your model or SKU and your order number.
  2. Write down what the machine does, including any indicator light or error code.
  3. Take photos of the rating label and of the damaged or missing part.
  4. Email service@costway.com with your email address, phone number, order number and the photos. Costway's FAQ asks for contact details and the order or tracking number.
  5. Wait for a reply. Costway says it answers within 48 hours.

Will parts from other brands fit?

Sometimes, but nobody publishes a cross-reference. Many countertop ice makers come from a small number of factories and are sold under several brand names. For example, the Costway FP10032US manual and the NewAir NIM030SS00 manual use the same control panel description and the same troubleshooting table, word for word. That points to a shared design. It does not prove that every part interchanges.

If you buy a generic part, match it to the original by shape, size, connector type and voltage. Fitting a third-party part yourself falls under the warranty's exclusion for repairs attempted by anyone other than Costway. A sealed-system fault, such as a refrigerant leak, needs a refrigeration technician, so weigh that against buying a new unit.
